Located in downtown Hamilton across from St. Joseph’s Hospital, Charlton Orthopaedics is a clinic specializing in custom orthotics, gait analysis, compression socks, bracing and recovery products.
Custom Foot Orthotics
The initial visit for custom foot orthotics involves taking a pedograph and a negative plaster cast of your feet. A management plan is also developed with the patient. Once we have the negative cast, we pour plaster into the mould to obtain a true reproduction of the foot. All work is done at our on site lab

Important Note about Insurance Coverage and Reimbursement:
Yes, orthotics are covered! We recommend that you confirm with your insurance provider prior to your appointment, as there are a small number of insurance companies that do not cover this medical product. We will provide you with all the necessary documentation you need to submit to your insurance.
Although orthotics may be covered by your insurance company, some insurance providers require additional information such as biomechanical, gait analysis reports and/or a doctor’s referral note in order to reimburse your claim. To avoid delays or problems with your reimbursement, please be sure to call your specific insurance company to clarify
Compression Stockings

Custom Bracing
We have a variety of off the shelf as well as custom bracing options for workplace injuries (WSIB), sports injuries, and chronic injuries. Not all braces are the same and our expert staff can guide you and fit you to the brace that will provide you the support you need to get back to being active.
